Clever Welding

Thank you for visiting. Steve Hobbs is the owner of Clever Welding and has been in business for thirteen years. Prior to that, Steve was the welding shop foreman for ten years of a California-based company which specialized in heavy-equipment repair for the timber industry. He also was responsible for construction and repairs in mills such as Louisiana Pacific. After moving to Missouri, Steve was lead man and supervisor for a Springfield manufacturer of custom stainless-steel tanks for companies such as Monsanto, Kodak, and Tyson. Steve's thirty-five years of welding repair and fabrication work have given him a wide range of skills and experiences enabling him to provide quality workmanship for his customers.

Steve is experienced in multiple processes (heliarc, stick, and wirefeed) using aluminum, stainless steel, and steel. He can work from blueprints, sketches, and customer ideas.
